Dr. S. Darrell Lee and Lee Plastic Surgery and Laser Center support numerous non-profit organizations throughout St. Lucie County. Recently, he met with the Gold Star families to discuss their plans to build a Gold Star Families Memorial Monument in Port St. Lucie.
After learning about the monument, Dr. Lee made a commitment to their monument fund. “It is a beautiful monument,” stated Dr. Lee. “We are very happy and honored to support the Gold Star Families and look forward to the dedication ceremony later this year.”
United Veterans of St. Lucie County and several other groups are raising money to build the new monument. The Gold Star Families Memorial Monument honor’s families who have lost a family member protecting our freedom.
The monument will join several other monuments recognizing the sacrifices of our veterans in Viet Nam, Korea, World War II and more. A dedication ceremony is being planned for September 25, 2016 in recognition of National Gold Star Mother’s Day. If you’d like to support this great cause, please contact Paul Wilson at (772) 209-0570.
